Professor Malcolm
McDonald from the Cranfield School of Management will be returning
(after his success at the conference in 2003) on Friday 21st May to close
the conference. This year he will be addressing the history of marketing
and analysing the challenges faced by all organisations. The session will
also outline what competitive marketing strategies are and how they can
be managed for sustainable competitive advantage.
Malcolm spends much of his time working with the operating boards of the
world’s biggest multinational companies, such as IBM, Xerox, BP and
the like, in most countries in the world, including Japan, USA, Europe,
South America, ASEAN and Australasia.
He has written thirty seven books, including the best seller "Marketing
Plans; how to prepare them; how to use them" and many of his papers
have been published. His current interests centre around the use of information
technology in advanced marketing processes.
